Summer Nights in Broadway at the Beach

Swing by Broadway at the Beach for their Summer Nights entertainment series starting Monday, June 5th and running through Sunday, August 27th. Whether you’re looking for an exciting display featuring fire dancers, stilt walkers, and dance parties or just sitting back and watching some fireworks with live music performances, Broadway at the Beach Summer Nights has everything you could need for a memorable night out with friends and family. Admission is free and all activities run between the hours of 7-10 pm.

Brewery Tours and the Myrtle Beach Beer Trail

For the 21+ crowd looking to experience the best local breweries that Myrtle Beach has to offer, check out the new Myrtle Beach Beer Trail. This mobile guide consists of a 60-mile trail throughout Myrtle Beach that will take you to the top 10 local breweries and includes other similar attractions such as wineries and distilleries. “Check-In’s” are also featured at different locations allowing you to win exclusive prizes.

Horry County Museum

Are you looking for an equally interesting and educational experience? Then look no further than the Horry County Museum. Admission is free and events and activities are constantly being held for all ages. Their main attractions are highlighted by a massive custom-made freshwater aquarium featured on Animal Planet’s “Tanked” which showcases the local aquatic life of Horry County. While most exhibits are found at the main location, they also have many out-reach exhibits such as the L.W. Paul Living History Farm that simulates the life of an Horry County farm family from the 1900’s-1950’s.

Fireworks and Live Music at Barefoot Landing

Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle has everything you need for a perfect day with the family, from intriguing shops and restaurants to stunning firework displays and live shows. Firework shows happen every Monday at 10 pm and go on year-round. Taco Mundo and House of Blues consistently hold events and have live performers, prices vary. Music On Main

Is there a better way to end a beach day than with shopping and beachfront live music? Myrtle Beach doesn’t think so, which is why the Horseshoe in North Myrtle Beach will host live musicians every Thursday at 7 pm from June 6th to September 26th for their Music on Main Concert Series. Admission is free and Main Street will be limited to pedestrian traffic only in the surrounding areas, allowing you to enjoy the night any way you want, from walking through local shops and restaurants to sitting back in a beach chair and enjoying the scenic environment.

Mini Golf

Whether looking for a fun and relaxing game or a competitive matchup, Mini Golf is the perfect activity for the whole family. Myrtle Beach has been named the mini golf capital of the world with the most courses per square mile, as it’s home to 50 different courses. Walk the plank of a pirate ship, climb a 40-foot volcano, explore a Mayan temple, or run from dinosaurs. Courses cost around $12 per person. Myrtle Beach is also the golf capital of the world with 90+ full courses in the area if that is more your speed.

State Parks

Maybe you’re not much of a beach person but you still want to get out and explore South Carolina’s beautiful scenery. Well, you’re in luck because SC is home to a total of 47 state parks, 2 of which are within the Myrtle Beach area. With anything from bike and hike trails to botanical gardens, South Carolina State Parks are home to an abundance of activities for you to enjoy in the outdoors. Admission costs are less than $10, but additional charges apply for overnight camping and other park programs.

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

Located between 14th Ave and 2nd Ave

In 2023, National Geographic and Travel & Leisure ranked Myrtle Beach’s 1.2-mile boardwalk as number 3 and 2 respectively in the U.S. On top of all the restaurants, shops, and attractions (including the 187-ft tall SkyWheel), the boardwalk hosts the Hot Summer Nights Series every day of the week starting June 12th and ending September 4th. This event provides free entertainment for all visitors, from kid carnivals and street performers to live music and fireworks shows.

The Beach

The Garden City Pier

Garden City Beach is a smaller community south of Surfside known for its more lighthearted and family-friendly environment. Garden City is great for fishing and other watersports, being where the inlet meets the ocean. The Pier is the place to be in Garden City and always bustling with visitors enjoying the live music, fishing docks, and local arcades. If the conditions are right, Garden City is a common area for surfers looking for the perfect wave. Day passes for fishing access cost around $10 for adults and $4 for kids.
