- 1229 Shine is an incredible spot that features plenty of outdoor seating where your family can enjoy the last bit of South Carolina sun. While 1229 Shine is most known for their raw oysters and seafood, I must recommend the smokehouse mac and the smoked chicken wings; both are phenomenal dishes that also happen to be apart of their gluten-free menu.
- Co Sushi, a sister restaurant to 1229 Shine, offers modern influence to some traditional Asian food, most known for their high quality sushi. I highly recommend to keep an eye on their seasonal menu.
- Tupelo Honey is a great location for those craving Southern comfort food. With 26 locations across the US, Tupelo Honey has become well known for their seasonal menu and fried chicken. Notably, the Myrtle Beach Tupelo Honey was recognized as serving “fresh, locally caught shrimp,” in a study conducted by the Southern Shrimp Alliance.
- Zardin is a family owned healthy restaurant that prioritizes transparency; listing the farmers that supply the ingredients. Highly popular among locals are the salads, power bowls, and their fresh cold pressed juices.
Family & Entertainment
- 810 Billiards & Bowling is the ultimate all inclusive family entertainment venue. Beyond your traditional American menu items, you’ll find bowling lanes, arcade games, and a specialty shakes milkshake bar.
- Savannah’s Playground is an extremely popular park in Myrtle Beach. This playground is exceptional for it’s inclusiveness, having ADA approved play structures. The park is open year round with free admission. Park hours of operation vary on Tuesday’s, see here.
- EdVenture Children’s Museum is a fantastic interactive learning facility. You’ll find a variety of exhibits, workshops, and play areas perfect for children up to 10 years old. Seasonal hours may vary for the Myrtle Beach location, see here.
- Grand 14 Movie Theatre is known as “Myrtle Beach’s most comfortable theatre” however, many locals prioritize visiting this location for the Flashback Cinema and Bargain Tuesdays.
Seasonal Events
- The Market Common Farmers Market in Valor Park, 1120 Farrow Parkway, Myrtle Beach, SC, occurs during the months of April through December. Every Saturday, from 10AM to 3PM, experience a variety of local art vendors, fresh produce, and more. Waccamaw Market Cooperative is the market organizer.
