If you’re planning a trip to Myrtle Beach and looking for some fun, let me tell you about three mini-golf spots you absolutely can’t miss. I recently spent a weekend hitting up some of the most popular courses, and it was a blast! Here’s a ranking of my mini-golf adventures in Myrtle Beach.
Red Dragon Cove

First, I hit up Red Dragon Cove, and wow, talk about stepping into another world. This course is filled with dragon statues, mystical caves, lush greenery, and a pirate ship that you can golf in. I had an incredible time exploring this course. The theming is top-notch, and the intricate details bring the fantasy world to life. Every hole offers a new challenge and a new piece of the story, making the game both fun and engaging. Also, they do discounts for Myrtle Beach locals!
Visitor Tips
- Visit later in the day: The lighting in the late afternoon and evening enhances the aesthetic of the course. Plus, it’s a bit cooler, which makes for a more comfortable game.
- Take photos: Red Dragon Cove is incredibly photogenic. Be sure to capture the moment with plenty of pictures—your social media followers will thank you!
Mt. Atlanticus Miniature Golf

Next up, Mt. Atlanticus. This place is like the Everest of mini golf courses. You start at the bottom and work your way up through some pretty challenging holes. By the time you get to the top, you get this amazing view of Myrtle Beach that makes the climb well worth it. Navigating all the obstacles and checking out the wild decorations made it feel like a mini-adventure with every hole. This course is very popular amongst the locals and tends to get crowded quickly, but there are two separate courses so make sure to check out them both. Mt. Atlanticus is filled with interesting surprises and a fun, relaxed atmosphere that makes it perfect for families, couples, and solo players.

- Wear comfortable shoes: There’s quite a bit of climbing involved, so make sure your footwear is up to the task.
- Visit in the evening: The course lights up beautifully after dark, adding an extra layer of magic to the experience. Plus, it’s cooler and less crowded.
Cancun Lagoon

Cancun Lagoon transports you to a tropical paradise, complete with Mayan ruins, cascading waterfalls, and lush plant life. What sets this course apart is its blend of indoor and outdoor sections, which are split between their three different courses. I was particularly impressed with how well the tropical theme was executed. The indoor sections are air-conditioned, which is a lifesaver on a hot day, and the outdoor holes are surrounded by vibrant greenery and water features that make the whole experience feel like a mini vacation.

- Utilize the indoor sections: If it’s a scorching day, take advantage of the air-conditioned indoor holes to stay cool while still having fun.
- Look for hidden surprises: Cancun Lagoon is filled with hidden treasures and surprises that add an extra layer of excitement to the game. Keep your eyes peeled!
Myrtle Beach is a mini golf paradise, no doubt. Whether you’re a pro or just looking for some casual fun, these courses have something for everyone. Each one is unique and offers its own set of challenges and cool themes. Honestly, it was almost impossible to pick a favorite out of these three, play them for yourself, and see if you agree.
